Gluten Free on a Budget with Walmart

Please note: This is a sponsored post with my honest opinions as always

Gluten Free is a big part of our lives since we have members of the family with Celiac Disease. We have been gluten free for about 7 years now. In the beginning, I bought mostly processed and convenience gluten free foods. It made my life easier, but didn’t necessarily save us any money. Over the years, I have learned how to make more gluten free foods homemade and the brands/stores that can save us when we are short on time or money. Living in a small town has it limitations on where we can find gluten free. There are actually 2 stores nearby but most of the items I like to have on hand are at least $2 cheaper at Walmart. Udi’s Gluten Free is one of the brands we have grown to trust that just so happens to be available at Walmart. Now if you are anything like me, committing to buying a new food item can feel like a big committment. Not everyone brand lives up to the standards that we have set; such as, the same or better quality &/or cost per item. Lucky for us during our last visit to Walmart  there were 3 gluten free food carts setup for sampling!

WalmartGlutenFree1#ad Food samples are obviously not new. However others with food restrictions, allergies, or Celiac Disease can relate to the fact that we normally have to walk on past the tasty samples. They had Quakers rice cakes, Udi’s Gluten Free Pepperoni Pizza, and Tyson Grilled Chicken samples!

As you can see below (just like any kid) Hunter loves Pepperoni Pizza and shouldn’t have to be left out because he has Celiac Disease. Udi’s Gluten Free pizzas is a great alternative to pizza delivery/carry out from a restaurant.

I would love to know if you shop at Walmart for Gluten Free!

What are your favorite gluten free budget friendly items at Walmart?
