I have been raving about Bigelow Tea for a while so I am pretty sure you have heard that they are  100% American made by an American Family; an American Company for the American consumer. Available at an American Retailer – Walmart. What makes them even better is that Bigelow Tea has been around for 70 years and three generations! Last year I had the opportunity to meet the Bigelow Family and this year I had the chance to meet their extended family at the Bigelow Tea headquarters!

Being in the presence of this family is something I will never forget! They are so inviting and down to earth that it is really hard not to feel connected to this family . Let me tell you that they feel exactly the same about their Bigelow Tea which is why when you are with the brand they give off the same connected feeling as the Bigelow Family!

For 70 years and three generations, our family has been passionate about one thing…TEA, starting in the kitchen when Ruth Campbell Bigelow created her first cup of “Constant Comment”® Tea until today.  There is no point in the process from creating the flavors, to buying the ingredients, to testing the raw materials when they come in that we are not personally involved.  We have to be….it is too important for us to not make sure each cup is perfect, it has our name on it!
So we hope you’ll enjoy learning more about our family and why tea is still our passion 70 years later.  Thanks for your interest!

The Bigelow Family

The real essence of what makes the Bigelow family so amazing is their intentions and desire to do good within their family, Bigelow tea, and their community!

  • Cindi started The Annual Bigelow Tea Community Challenge in 1987 that has brought in $962,ooo. 100% of the money has been donated to local charities that provide members of their community with shelter, educational services, counseling, crisis management services, after-school tutoring, recreational programs and stock food pantries.
  •  Cindi Bigelow helped create The Sandcastle Playground in 1996, a landmark wooden village playground at Jennings Beach in Fairfield and focal point for children in the community (above you will see the picture from our recent trip to Jennings Beach with Bigelow Tea employees). The playground was filled with families playing and enjoying time outside because of the Bigelow family.
  • Encouraging Employee Committment to giving back as well: This is a must see of personal employee stories here from Make-a-Wish to sustainability projects Bigelow Tea as a whole as a lot of heart!
  • Almost 4 million bags of tea have been sent to troops overseas with Bigelow’s Tea for Troops program. Find additional information about Tea for Troops here
