Monte Cristo: For the Love of grilled cheese & french toast #ad

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with my partnership as a Great Day Farms Blogger

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I have been a bit of a lazy cook lately. Getting in a food rut really uninspires me. However, I don’t always have the time to spend whipping up a gourmet like meal during the summer. Working at home and entertaining 3 kids can be quite the energy drain. With that being said, we should all keep some recipes on hand that require minimal effort and still make us proud to feed to our family! Brinner inspirations is that for me. It’s cheap, quick, and delicious! Monte Cristo is our favorite brinner specialty. If you love grilled cheese and french toast, this is the recipe for you. Using Great Day Farms eggs from Walmart, I created a sweet monte cristo and…

savory version for everyone!

Now go to the store to get the ingredients that you don’t already have in your kitchen! Then head on over to Great Day Farms to see how to make Monte Cristo here!

Monte Cristo: For the Love of grilled cheese & french toast
  • 8 Great Day Farms Eggs
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • splash of vanilla
  • 6-8 oz of Applewood Smoked Cheddar block* (found in Walmart deli kiosk) sliced into ⅛-1/4 inch thick slices
  • loaf of bread (I used Udi's Gluten Free found in freezer section)
  • 10 Sam's Choice precooked turkey bacon slices (or ham)
  • Great Value Sugar Free Seedless Blackberry Jelly(or other favorite jelly)
  • Fresh herbs {I used pineapple sage}
  • *Traditionally Swiss cheese is used so feel free to replace Applewood smoked Cheddar with that or other cheddar of choice.
