Summer Salami Pasta with Tyson Sliced Salami #WhatsYourTopping #shop

Summertime is hot in Oklahoma, which means I need meal solutions that are convenient to make and don’t require heating an oven. We do a lot of Slow-cooking, but sometimes I don’t want to start cooking dinner in the morning. I can’t tell you how many times I end up missing breakfast when I am making dinner while the boys eat breakfast! I just need meal solutions that I can whip up quickly or pull out of the refrigerator. Have you seen or tried Tyson’s Sliced Salami?  We found it at Walmart! Tyson Sliced Salami is a great topping for meals that eliminates my need to cook meat when I don’t want to heat the house up.
Walmart has so many varieties of Pepperonis. However, Sliced Hard Salami is not as common.
But there it is kind of hidden in the Pepperoni section by the lunch meat. Click here to see the rest of our Walmart shop for Tyson Sliced Salami
I personally prefer cooking with Hard Salami over Pepperoni because it has a dryness to it that stands up well with heat rather than making a meal greasy. Tyson now offers Sliced Hard Salami and it comes in a resealable package!
I make a delicious summer pasta that can be served either hot or cold that is flavorful with fresh vegetables, spices & herbs. We love Pasta and sauce (as my boys call it), but sometimes you want to spice up your usual meal solutions. Tyson Sliced Salami is a convenient and delicious kid-friendly replacement for my usual sliced sausage. I am going to try using it in our solar-oven baked pizza, quesadillas, and omelets. Of course, my boys like to just eat them straight out of the bag too! To learn more about Tyson, follow them on Facebook & Twitter
First cook pasta and set aside
We use zucchini and yellow squash, but feel free to substitute your family favorites. This dish is great to mix it up each time we make it! Let’s get started by peeling and slices our vegetables. Since the peel is the most nutrient dense, I peel about half of each to add some more color and nutrients rather than peeling them all like most kids would like. Feel free to not peel at all or peel it all depending on your family’s preference.
Place Vegetables in pan over medium heat for 5 minutes with 2 Tablespoons of water and sprinkled with Montreal Chicken Seasoning.
