Steps With Walgreens: Earning Balance Reward Points with quality family time! #BalanceRewards #cbias

Have you heard of Walgreens Balance Reward Program ?

I am a huge fan of it! Every Sunday I look through the weekly ad (usually on my walgreens app) to see how we can save money on our everyday purchases. If you haven’t already joined, you can use your smartphone to scan the code on the sign above in your local store, online, by app, or let the cashier help you get started at checkout. It is easy and worth it to save more money. Not a fan of carrying around loyalty cards? Me either, which is why I love that I can just type in my phone number at the checkout for them to look up my card.

Walgreens is now taking their Balance Reward program one step further by offering us motivation to exercise it’s called Steps with Balance Rewards. To see my complete Walk with Walgreens shop on Google+ to get an inside view of the Steps with Walgreens program & more click here. If you have a Walgreens account, you can link both your balance rewards and Steps for easy access.

Healthy Living isn’t a hard choice for me to make. When I am taking care of myself whether it be with my eating or exercise, I just feel better! I have more energy. However, we all need some motivation from time to time so we stick with our goals. When I start a program or set goals, the excuses to not exercise seem to disappear. Writing down what I actually do helps me to get motivated that either I am doing an awesome job or show me where I can improve. Since the car wreck, I made excuses because it has been painful. However, I need to stay active even if it’s just increasing my walking. Next Saturday, we are participating in our first 5k as a family. It’s the Color Run, which is more about the happy factor than speed. In my current state paired with 3 kids, I think happy is just what we need! Walgreens Steps is helping me to keep track of progress I am making so I feel ready for the 5k.

If you have a smartphone, I suggest you get the Walgreens app to keep track  on the go. If all that isn’t enough motivation to get started with Steps with Balance Reward, check out Walgreens Step Up To Win Daily Sweepstakes and enter to win everyday until May 31! Some of the prizes are FitBit Zip (this is what I want to win, so I can sync my Steps account with it), Walgreens gift cards, Brita pitcher, Dr. Scholl’s New Active Series Insoles, and so much more to help you along your journey. Even if you don’t win an instant win, you automatically get an entry into the Grand Prize of a trip to your choice of the Biggest Loser Resort!!!

With Walgreens being just a few blocks ago, we take family strolls around the neighborhood to enjoy the simple joys. Healthy Living is something I want to keep showing my kids especially natural ways to make healthier choices. Not too mention how fun it can be! Along the way, we had to help a worm crossing the sidewalk (followed by some of their why do worms cross the road jokes :) ), spotted some squirrels playing, and saw lots of beautiful plants springing to life.

One of my big goals for this year is to drink more water. It sounds easy, but I have a hard time remembering.

When I found the water bottles, I knew this could really help motivate me to drink more water.Check out this blue one such a clever idea that is definitely going to help me increase my water with the counter on the top!

Then, I picked up some hair and beauty, because I believe you should pamper yourself inside and out!

See how Garnier Fructis is offering 4000 Balance Rewards points for $15 purchase of select items plus I have a coupon.

My only complaint is that my local Walgreens often has their shelves mislabeled on the rewards. Then, when I try to ask for help, the associates aren’t that helpful. I’ve actually started going to a further away Walgreens when I am out to avoid dealing with the difficulties of this particular store. I have been a long time Walgreens loyalist and won’t let that particular store stop me from shopping since I have always had such great customer service elsewhere.

Between Walgreens coupons and Balance Rewards, I love that I am able to get what I need for such a great price! From pampering to healthy snacks, Walgreens is a great one-stop shop.

Being able to use Steps with Balance Rewards to get points along with everyday purchases really helps our family make the most of Walgreens Balance Reward Program. See what I’ve earned since I signed up for Steps with Balance Rewards…

When I get enough balance reward points to redeem, my favorite thing to get is new nail polish or makeup! I am terrible about actually buying stuff for myself. When I can use a coupon and get $10 off with Balance Rewards, I feel good that I am making steps in the right direction to still save money & treat myself to something special!

  12. You picked out the BEST water bottle. I’ve had mine for a couple of years and it’s so easy to flip open to drink. Have to see if my Walgreens carries them so I could have a spare.

  13. I LOVE Walgreens and was actually there today! I almost ALWAYS forget my Balance Rewards card =/ But luckily they cal look it up for me when I forget it so I still earn rewards!

  14. I have a Rewards Card but, honestly, I don’t shop at Walgreens very often. I don’t even know how to redeem points. I have always loved finding new ways to save…I really need to start using my Rewards Card :)

  15. Walgreens has great prices and is convenient. Thanks for the info. Really like getting points for my shopping efforts. I’ll check their program out next time I’m there.

  16. I have the same problem with my Walgreens, an item will be marked that you’ll receive a large amount of points for purchase, but the sign is outdated or inaccurate. I recently purchased a brand of “hygiene” product I’d normally not by because of the large number of points, only to realize later NO points… oh well, I will always check my receipt before leaving the store from now on. Otherwise, it’s a GREAT program!!
