Full Core as a healthy snack alternative: Lemon Lime Mojito Recipe too! #StopSnacking #cbias

I am frustrated. At 30, I am not in the best shape for me. This was me at my peak about a year and a half ago…

Below is a more recent picture. Today I could stand to lose about 15 pounds and tone back up.

`It’s not just about the weight loss, but about the confidence I feel when I am taking care of my body. You know that feeling when you look at a picture where you see the extra weight in your trouble areas that’s where I am at right now. Being petite, the extra weight shows. In the 1st picture, I could push myself beyond what I thought I was ever capable of!

However, since a car wreck last march leaving me with nerve damage, I am unable to workout like I use to. I have been forced to ease up on the intensity and I miss that! I am now doing more pilates and yoga rather than bootcamp intensity. I use to run and now it hurts to walk fast. However, we are planning on doing a 5k as a family! As far as my eating, I am used to making food homemade and sticking to fresh foods. I haven’t completely gone off track, but on bad days I fall prey to convenience foods. Convenience foods generally are not the best choice especially since finding completely gluten free options is difficult. With Celiac Disease, bloating is a big issue so having my digestive health in ultimate state is important so I’m not dragging as well and tired all the time. One day I will be back where I want to be physically until then I am continuing my healthy lifestyle and looking toward natural hunger control alternatives.

Akin’s is one of our local health foods stores that we shop at all the time. They have an awesome selection of gluten free and more. When I decided to take matters into my own hands, Akin’s seemed like the right place to look!

Options can be over-whelming when trying to pick. I always check to make sure it’s gluten free and check the sugar. Some of these    hunger control options have too much sugar and unnatural ingredients.

When I found out Full Core, I was inspired to try it because it seems like a well-rounded supplement that can benefit me on so many levels from hunger control to digestive health needs!

  • As a Celiac, I appreciate that it’s gluten free and has 40% of our daily needed fiber as a Prebiotic. Regularity is important since digestive health issues can really get in the way from bloating to constipation no matter who you are.
  • As a person with a family full of diabetics, Full Core can help me stay on track since I am determined to beat the odds with a healthy lifestyle.
  • Plus I love that if offers added nutritional vitamins like B that I take to help with my migraines so I could use Full Core as a supplement since it offers 20% of the daily allowance.
Weight loss Drinks and bars tend to have odd tastes to them so I am always a bit hesitant about trying new products. Full Core is refreshingly Delicious! It doesn’t have any weird aftertaste, not too fizzy, and is quite enjoyable. Full Core Lemon Lime inspired me to create a non-alcoholic version of a mojito to add some variety. Full Core is delicious all on it’s own, but it’s fun to shake things up from time to time as well. The flavor is so versatile that it can be used as a mixer rather than some of the other hunger control alternatives that have over-whelming flavor that is trying to mask something unnatural that I just try to choke down. There’s no need to hide Full Core so let’s just enhance it with fresh lime and mint.

Full Core Lemon Lime Mojito {non-alcoholic}

  • 1 Can of Full Core Lemon Lime
  • 1/2 a lime
  • 4 mint leaves
  1. Slice Lime
 2. Muddle Lime and mint using pestle (or wooden spoon if no pestle)
3. Pour in Full Core Lemon Lime

Best of luck with the Full Core products! You know, you still look fabulous (though we are often harder on ourselves than others…) and from having read your posts in the past I know you eat healthy foods… so you might be healthier inside, if not as toned as you hope to be. Anywhoo… best of luck and I can’t wait to hear how your family’s 5K goes.

Oh, my goodness, your Full Core mojito recipe looks fantastic! I am definitely going to try it myself! I think you bring up excellent points about some products promoted as being healthy not truly fitting into what I am looking for in that category. Full core seems like it meets and exceeds my standards. Thanks so much for sharing your story and your recipe!
