Let La-Z-Boy Furniture inspire limitless options for the Ultimate Mom Cave! #MomCave #CBias

 Casual Chic is an easy way to define my style. Above is an example of a living room I could see myself having {Photo Courtesy of La-Z-Boy}

However with my husband’s work, we get the pleasure of moving around on average of every 2-3 years. I have no desire to do anything beyond renting until we are where we are going to end up. The problem with that is that it is hard to really feel at home when it doesn’t always feel like our home. Renting definitely has it’s limitations; such as, an inability to paint. We have come to terms with our situation. So, Artwork and bright decor is our solution to make a rental like home!

Here is what I am currently dealing with:

  • Our living room is not the biggest of living rooms or maybe our over-sized furniture does not help matters. While the sleeper sofa and love seat are roomy. I just feel like it overwhelms the living room.

  •  The love seat obstructs the hallway to our bedroom. In between the love seat and sofa there’s a gap that usually just collects toys & clutter.

  • Not too mention, over the years we have taken the cheap way out. We buy used &/or cheap furniture so we can discard it at a moments notice if we have to move. Hint the wear and tear that we are deciding if we should repair it for the umpteenth time or just replace the furniture. The cushions just aren’t holding their shape well either.

  • Then there is my makeshift office storage that does not match our home decor at all

We are both hard-working Grownups (gasp!!!) that deserve to have quality long-lasting furniture. My husband has a job as a corporate executive where we entertain guests often.

So I am on a mission…

The living room is my Mom Cave. It’s where I work, relax, do laundry, etc… Shouldn’t you just love the room you are always in? I am on a mission to create a more pleasant, less over-whelming living room. La-Z-Boy is such an iconic brand that’s it seems impossible to think of furniture without La-Z-Boy popping into one’s mind.

La-Z-Boy represents all that we want…

style, quality, & comfort!

Did you know that La-Z-Boy is celebrating their 85th year in business?

I love that the same values they started with are still present!

This was the first sofa in the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries Online Catalog that really caught my eye! It is a great sofa for our type of living room. How do I know? I checked out the La-Z-Boy measurement guide to help me!

Then, I went to La-Z-Boy online where I was able to customize the Eden Stationary Sofa with Chaise to really make it work with our home. The fact that La-Z-Boy offers over 900 different covers (fabric and leather) and more than 250 different frames means that everyone is able to find something perfect for their home. There are so many times we have been shopping and we love the frame or love the fabric, but not both. La-Z-Boy allows you to get the perfect piece of furniture with both the frame and fabric that you want!

I decided to play around with some fabrics to see what I might like such as my favorite the mint Chrysanthemum. As you can see, switching the cover can make the La-Z-Boy options limitless! With us not having a guest bedroom in our current home, I like that this is available as a sleeper sofa as well.

I really like the Arden Wingback La-Z-Boy Chair from the catalog. I loved the print, but needed something that flowed with the sofa we had decided on above

What do you think of it in Slate?

I thought I loved the print above, but seriously the elegance of the slate. I’m sold!

Plus I can decide if I want the ottoman to be in slate or mint Chrysanthemum to match the sofa.

The Hidden Treasures Printers Cabinet would look so much more sophisticated and professional as my office storage while still looking AMAZING in a main living area as well!

I have always loved La-z-boy recliners–strangely enough I have never bought one–my brat cat has ruined my living room chair–hum–there is a la-z-boy store not far from where I live!!

Love the pieces you chose! My goodness, what my living room needs is a splash of color (like that blue couch on top) and a little whimsy. I didn’t realize LaZBoy had quite that selection of furniture. I still think of them as having recliners. :)

Love, love, love that Hidden Treasures Printers Cabinet!!! Gorgeous options on the living room furniture, too. I need to head over and design some to replace our living room, too. We’ve been talking about it for awhile, so now is the chance to really let our personality shine through. Thanks for sharing the links and your insight!

Your living room looks a lot like mine. Small and narrow. I want a nice la-z-boy sectional couch very badly!
