Sustainable Living & Cross Off Hunger w/ Unilever #BetterTogether #CBias
Last month I introduced you to Making Life Better with Unilever, Cross Off Hunger, & Feeding America. Cross Off Hunger is a great cause that believes “Small Actions Can Add Up to a Big Difference.”
Unilever is committed to donating more than two million meals to families in need with Feeding America and every item on your shopping list counts. Show your support by adding Unilever brands to your cart next time you shop. Together we can help to Cross Off Hunger.
What do you have in your house from the Unilever Brands? (see post #1 for full list)

Unilever believes in Sustainable Living, but it goes beyond the basics. Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan has 3 big goals: improve health & well-being, Reduce Environmental Impact, and Enhance Livelihoods. Overall their goal is to create a better future and inspire others to be a part of the big picture!
We decided to use Unilever’s Sustainable Living Goal as a model for our latest project.
~We took our grocery bags to be recycled~
Buying products that promote Sustainable Living is a great first step. Before you buy check to see if the packaging is recyclable &/or made from recycled materials. In Oklahoma only 1 & 2 plastics can be recycled so check with your recycling center on what plastics to buy.
~~~
We let the boys rinse out the empty bottles during bath time for a “Super Clean” Tub that helps remove leftover soap from the bottles. If you have trouble remembering to recycle bathroom containers, place an extra trashcan just for recyclables!
While shelf-stable food is a need of a food bank, we decided to go with a less common known need of a food bank: Hygiene items! We stuck primarily with Unilever brands for a two-fold effect of giving.
Using Make Life Better, you can find out needs of food banks and local food banks.
Our local Food Bank helps with food drives as well (providing boxes & signs) so without going out of your way you can donate at your local library, grocery store, or place of employment even. My husband works at Enterprise Holdings and they participated with a Food Drive so we took our donation there.
What do you do to Make Life Better?
Bathroom items are the hardest to recycle–but like you-I submerge them in a bath until they are clean! I will definitely remember Unilever products when I go shopping!!
I love what Unilever is doing. I also LOVE what you are doing with your kids. Thanks for the great info! I did not know that the food banks help with the supplies to help with drives! Thanks for all the great info! Keep up the great work!
