@MIDELCookies easy #glutenfree ice cream sandwich recipe

midel2

It doesn't matter that we deal with food restrictions in our house.  What matters is that I work hard so my kids can live a normal life!  If that means they get to have cookies, ice cream sandwiches, or cookie ice cream for goodness sake so be it.  The other day, I was comparing a dessert to a rice krispies treat to my boys. Of course that answer was followed by another question  "what is a rice krispies treat?"* There are things that my boys could potential miss out on due to food restrictions.  I am not saying that I think that not having certain foods such as treats is going to hurt them, but they are kids after all. Mi-Del Gluten Free Cookies "Gluten-Free Meets Delicious. We just can’t help it. Giving you your delicious is the first priority at MI-DEL. And that means Gluten-Free Cookies that taste like cookies. @NaturalizerShoe “Shoe to the Rescue” at blogher? Yes, please! #Naturalizer

naturalizer_kiril

As a mom of 3, my fashion sense has always revolved around being stylish yet functional.  My wardrobe falls in this in-between category of classic and bohemian chic that I have collected over the years from thrift stores, boutiques, and mass merchants.  While I am a fan of shoes, my mom taught me early that comfort is key.  I have always loved to stretch my money further.  As a result, I won't purchase a pair of shoes that aren't comfortable, because odds are I won't get my money's worth.  High heels are fun since I am petite, but not worth the effort if they hurt my feet. During college, I was told for my professional life to splurge on a pair of heels and an actual suit.  I remember searching and searching for the perfect, comfortable heels.  It is hard sometimes finding comfortable shoes with personality.  I ended up falling in love with a pair of Naturalizer pumps.  I felt like a real grown-up walking around in heels and my feet did not hurt at the end of the day!  Thanks to … [Read more...]

RevAbs @beachbody Progress Report from Riviera Maya: Over Half way done!

RevAbsMexico3

Every year my husband and I take an adult vacation that revolves around us as a couple.  This year we decided to do something a bit more exotic, so we ventured to Riviera Maya!  With RevAbs I had quite a bit more confidence to show off my body (even in a bikini smaller than I would normally wear).  Surrounded by people of all ages on the sandy beach or in the pool, I felt great and knew my hardwork had paid off.  To see past progress reports, reviews, & giveaways to encourage healthy living click here Keep in mind while I am happy with my physical appearance results so far, I think our physical capabilities and how we view ourselves is just as important.  Having the strength (and coordination) to truly enjoy our trip was great.  We body surfed, hiked the Mayan ruins, and walked everywhere (no elevators for us!).  We tried our hardest to continue healthy eating while on vacation and worked out extra hard when we over-indulged. As for the workout, I loved the extra challenge … [Read more...]
