King Arthur Flour Gluten Free Review & Giveaway

King Arthur Flour Gluten Free Review & Giveaway

With the gluten free standards in limbo at the moment, those requiring gluten free diets need to be much more aware of the companies providing them their food.  There are many established companies taking the plunge to gluten free and King Arthur Flour is one of them.  If you are familiar with the gluten free standards, you know that the guidelines are unclear.  With guidelines unclear, companies are able to claim their products are gluten free.  King Arthur Flour is a company who has gone through the effort to have Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO) certify their line of gluten free products.  On May 4, 2011, King Arthur Flour was one of the companies that attended Gluten Free Food Labeling Summitt 2011 (visit 1in133 to learn about this event)....

Salsa Sensations vs the others: are all salsas created equal? #salsacraving

For almost a month, I have been showcasing Salsa Sensations in an attempt to represent them at Blogher 2011 (see video submission here).  Talk can be cheap when not backed by actual proof, because we all have our own version of the truth.  Today I am going to give you a look inside a bottle of a store brand salsa , a brand name salsa, and Salsa Sensations that are all found at a local Wal-Mart.  The health content is based on what the bottle states, the taste & quality is my opinion, and the value is a combination of both.  The reality is that not all salsas are created equal. The store brand When first glancing at the jar, the words “all natural” catch my eye immediately.  In my world natural means minimal processing, fresh ingredients, and...

Bosley Professional Strength Women’s Hair System Review & Giveaway

When we think of thinning or balding, images immediately go to men’s receding hairlines and beyond.  However, since our medication, illness, infection, hormones or chemicals can affect our hair growth, women too suffer from thinning hair.  Auto-immune disorders can cause thinning hair.  When I was younger my hair was very thin.  Due to untreated Celiac Disease, I was malnourished and nutrient-deprived that provides an unfriendly atmosphere for hair growth.  Women normally notice their thinning hair on the top third to one half of the scalp, which can be more prominent when pullling the hair back.  Thankfully Bosley known for being ”The World’s Most Experienced Hair Restoration Expert” has non-invasive options to help you stop hair...

{Memorial Day worthy} Marinated Grilled Chicken Recipe

I was doing some research on where Memorial day originated and it is amazing how national holidays stray from their original intent.  Memorial Day  is a day of remembering those that have died while serving in the American Military. Somehow Memorial Day is more known for a leisurely weekend that allows us the opportunity to enjoy gathering with friends and family.  While you are enjoying your leisurely weekend, please take the time to remember what Memorial Day is all about. Here is a grilled chicken  recipe to enjoy this Memorial Day… Marinated Grilled Chicken Recipe This recipe is relatively easy and worth the wait on marinating.  The flavors go well with typical cookout side dishes.  I enjoy serving it with homemade mac & cheese and mashed...

#salsacraving? $25 Wal-Mart giftcard to taste Salsa Sensations for yourself!

As if you need more reasons to eat salsa, May happens to be National Salsa Month!  According to Merriam-Webster dictionary, salsa is defined as a spicy sauce of tomatoes, onions, and hot peppers. What makes salsa great is how versatile it is from eating it as a dip to adding it to your favorite recipes, salsa is a great compliment to many foods.  As many of you know, I am in the running to be Salsa Sensations 2011 Blogher delegate.  I am so excited at the possibility of representing such a great company at Blogher as well as to take my blog to the next level.  Salsa Sensations is a company providing salsas that are “simply fruits & vegetables from our farms to your table”.  Getting great-tasting homemade salsa requires work that not all people...

Projectables night light Review & Giveaway (8 winners)

Projectables night light Review & Giveaway (8 winners)

I had planned to put this post up yesterday.  Dealing with the aftermath of the Joplin, MO tornado where friends & family are located, I just couldn’t put up a post when it seemed so shocking to imagine the losses they have suffered.  I spent the day holding my babies tightly and preparing for the possibility we will be receiving bad weather tonight.  Complete devastation has a way of reminding us how important those little things are.  On that note, bedtime is such an important part of our day.  We spend most of the day running around playing that at the end of the day those bedtime rituals are treasured. My youngest, Elliott,  is adorable when he says “night night” to everything from his brothers to the artwork.  I love finding new...
