People Towels Review & Giveaway {B Kind 2 Earth}

Here some statistics to think about on Earth Day:  The western, developed nations make up 1/4 of the world population as well as consuming 3/4 of the world’s resources.  Every day in the U.S., over 3000 tons of paper towel waste is produced as a result approximately 60 million gallons of polluted water and 72,000 trees felled to create more waste.  Not too mention beyond the waste of resources, the paper towels themselves add to the landfills that have been proven to produce methane gas that is contributing to global warming.

Meet the solution…

People Towels are the newest concept in sustainability, and the latest in eco-chic fashion. An on-the-go, sustainable alternative to paper towels in public facilities, these reusable personal hand towels are made of a patent-pending fabric that’s 100% certified organic Fair Trade cotton.  The light-weight fabric is absorbent, yet dries quickly.
They are printed with eco-friendly dyes, and come in a variety of designs to appeal to different tastes and styles.  Convenient hangtags even allow you to clip or loop your PeopleTowelsl to your backpack, belt buckle or purse.

Some of the other eco-friendly options can be plain, People Towels have warm, whimsical-type designs that offer personality.  As well as these 100% organic fair trade towels are not scratchy at all.  People Towels are easy to clean and drying take less time due to them being lightweight and thin.  The convenient hangtag helps me to keep them off the floor where they happen to end up when hanging from the oven or cluttering the already limited counterspace.  People Towels are trying to make BYO towels the next eco-statement.  Imagine taking a personalized towel to the gym (or anywhere for that matter) that would both eliminate waste and keep you from using hand dryers &/or rough paper. towels.

    I am already deliberately and drastically reducing the number of paper towels we use at home, clipping one of these to my handbag is a great idea for on the go!

    We’ve been switching over our disposables to sustainable reusable products like tissues to hankerchiefs, so this would make another simple switch. joyedevive(at)gmail(dot)com

    can you ever have enough hand towels around? nah. and if they’re cute, AND environmentally friendly – sounds like a win win to me

    I wish there were more incentives to be green. I would love to be green and all that but my budget STRICTLY prohibits it.

    thanks so much for this giveaway!

    Really, I think Earth Day has become a very expensive joke.

    There is so much waste and clean up here in Pittsburgh after an Earth Day, that I think it would be better to have a Think of the Earth Month where no one got together to “rally”.

    I like Great Contradictions on FB: Kimberly Hilbert.

    I do like your name. Since a lot of these green ideas, when worked into politics, seem to be contradictions.

    Why is nothing easy, when it seems so simple?
