Manic Monday Mixer week #2
It’s time for ”Manic Monday Mixer”! Same as last week… To celebrate the unique nature of blogging, I am doing this a bit different. I am the host and the 2 guest hosts will be the first 2 people to sign up below me in the linky! If you are one of the lucky guest hosts, send me a message with a little information about you, your blog, etc… About me: I am a sahm of 3 boys who have helped bring my creative side out. They have taught me so much about being grateful for the little things. I love being able to share my adventures in gluten free living (both the good & the frustrating), saving money, and other creative outlets. I hope you enjoy my blog (p.s. I have 5 current giveaways going on). I look forward to meeting new...
Read MoreBetween me and you "Honey" keepsake journal Review & Giveaway
Between you and me… “A great feature of the Between Me and You™ series thanks to the spiral-bound presentation is that you can simply tear out the pages that might not be relevant to your particular needs. You can even add your own personal questions or even photos on the blank pages that are provided in back. Give one to be filled out and returned by someone special. Or fill one out for that very special person in your life. They’re also perfect for parents who’d like to record their own memories to hand down to their children. The result is a unique, handwritten journal that will be cherished for a lifetime. Several additional versions relevant to our many relationships are planned and will be released in the near future.” Between...
Read MoreGreetings from Gluten Free Island
Yesterday it was in the 70s here in Gluten Free Island, but later in the evening there were dark clouds… I know a little melodramatic, but sometimes I just feel like Gluten Free living can suprise me at people’s lack of empathy. I spent last week arranging a birthday party for my son. I contacted a ton of places, but there was one in particular who I sent about 20 emails to that refused to quote me for no pizza/cupcakes and said no outside food even though they are unable to provide a Gluten Free option. How can they be so insensitive? Then, yesterday I get a last minute call about my grandma’s 91st birthday party. I am told that if we don’t mind contaminating ourselves we can come!?! I think that was a combination between a...

Gluten free beauty products or not? Even if you don’t need to be gluten free, but your child/spouse/etc does, you could be contaminating them with your lip balm. However, many companies who once claimed gluten free are no longer claiming gluten free anymore. That is why I was so happy to find Eco Lips they proudly announce all of their lipbalms are gluten free. My favorite part about Eco Lips is their variety: from kids lipbalms to tinted they have a kind for you. Their Story In the early 1990s, Andrea Danielson began brewing small batches of natural lip balm in her kitchen for her friends and family. She took great care in handcrafting the balm and packaging it in small amber glass jars to preserve the freshness of the pure ingredients. Andrea...

Read MoreJoin my first ever…. Manic Monday Mixer
Life can get crazy; however, I have really found comfort in the support that is found within the blogging community. I am starting “Manic Monday Mixer”, so I can expand the horizon. I find it fascinating how in a world of so many blogs each story is completely one-of-a-kind. To celebrate the unique nature of blogging, I am doing this a bit different. I am the host and the 2 guest hosts will be the first 2 people to sign up below me in spots 2 & 3 of the linky! If you are one of the lucky guest hosts, send me a message with a little information about you, your blog, etc… About me: I am a sahm of 3 boys who have helped bring my creative side out. They have taught me so much about being grateful for the little things. I love being...
Read MoreTie-Dye Muffins *Fruity Pebbles not GF*
UPDATED: Based on their company, Fruity Pebbles/Cocoa Pebbles are gluten free but that means they self-certifed themselves. Understanding certifications is tricky since the guidelines are vague, but what I know is we were contaminated. When I contacted Post, they offered me a coupon. I said I wanted accountability. Since that last email no word. To learn more about FDA gluten free standards read this article to become informed or even better to voice your opinion! Apparently, Fruity Pebbles are now gluten free. If you already knew this, forgive my lateness; however, it makes me wonder what kind of advertising they have been doing when some gluten free households are unaware. We don’t walk down the cereal aisles or any other aisle that...
